Industrial Engineer Job Description



Industrial engineers use technology and engineering principles to eliminate inefficient and wasteful processes in a manufacturing environment. They focus on reducing costs, promoting safety, using efficient materials, and saving time and energy. They are responsible for analyzing processes, determining areas for improvement, effectively communicating, creating documentation and implementing training for new procedures.

A successful industrial engineer must have strong mathematical and communication skills and must have a strong desire for efficiency and organization. Job applicants need a degree in industrial engineering or a related field, such as general engineering, economics, or manufacturing and manufacturing design.

Duties and responsibilities of the industrial engineer
