Install the products
Some service technicians are responsible for installing their own products. It can be various household appliances, security systems, or heating and cooling units. They are responsible for installing, testing and then providing the customer with instructions on the correct use of the machine. Excellent customer service skills are important as service technicians interact a lot with customers.
Make repairs
Service technicians must also repair defective or broken products that often involve replacing defective or worn parts. Service technicians should be able to use diagnostic tools to identify the problem and then fix it or order parts needed for repair.
