An infrastructure analyst specializes in diagnosing and solving problems in complex computer systems. Infrastructure analysts can work internally with an organization or they can act as consultants and typically report directly to top management. The infrastructure analyst uses up-to-date knowledge of the IT infrastructure to identify opportunities to use emerging technology to increase efficiency and flexibility. They can formulate improvement plans and present them to leadership.
