Assistant Operations Manager Job Description



Assistant project managers support business operations managers. You will work entirely in an office setting, although you will sometimes be asked to attend meetings outside of the venue. An important part of the position is to listen carefully to the leaders and understand their goals in order to execute the plans. Assistant managers are more than just assistants. They are heavily involved in day-to-day activities and can make suggestions to improve the company's effective business operations. Operations assistants are very much involved in the day-to-day running of the company. They ensure resources are in place so production isn't slowed down, workforce plans are drawn up, workforce tasks are assigned, inventory and workforce compliance are governmental and address potential issues. Papers such as pay slips and performance reviews may also not meet their mandate.

Finding the product where it is needed is the primary responsibility of the deputy project manager. They oversee various aspects of the supply chain, including organizing ships and sailing, to ensure proper delivery. Regular contact with major departments, external vendors, customers and freight services may be required.
